Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of Arabic Language at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific course entitled “The Comprehensive Examination Mechanism for PhD Students in the Department of Arabic Language” for the period April 13–14, 2026.
The course aimed to familiarize graduate students—particularly PhD candidates—with the mechanism of the comprehensive examination, its academic and procedural requirements, and the standards adopted in designing questions and evaluating answers. It also clarified the regulations and instructions governing this examination, thereby enhancing students’ preparedness and supporting sound academic performance.
Furthermore, the course provided a detailed explanation of the stages of the comprehensive examination and the methods of preparation for it, along with a set of academic guidelines and recommendations to help students successfully pass the exam. It also included an open discussion session to address participants’ inquiries, thereby deepening their understanding of the nature and requirements of the examination.
