Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific course entitled “The Impact of Planning on Studying History for Third-Year Students” during the period 25–26/2/2026.
The course aimed to demonstrate the importance of academic planning in improving the academic achievement of third-year students, particularly in History, through effective time management, setting clear learning objectives, and developing structured study strategies that enhance comprehension, analytical skills, and the ability to relate historical events to their intellectual and social contexts.
The course also addressed several key themes, including daily and semester-based study planning methods, techniques for designing mind maps and study schedules, and the application of critical thinking skills in analyzing historical texts, thereby strengthening students’ capacity for deep understanding and organized retention.
