Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Student Activities Unit, in cooperation with the Women and Disability Affairs Unit, organized an awareness campaign on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, entitled “Welcome to Your Strength – Every Step You Take is the Beginning of an Achievement.”
The campaign aimed to welcome and raise awareness about the rights of female students with disabilities and to provide academic, psychological, and social support within the university environment. It also sought to encourage other students to be supportive peers to their colleagues with disabilities—offering genuine companionship and understanding rather than superficial gestures—while promoting respect for their privacy and standing as allies against any form of discrimination that some students might face.
The Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, reaffirmed the College’s continued support for such humanitarian and awareness-oriented initiatives, appreciating the sincere efforts of the Student Activities Unit, represented by Asst. Lecturer Alaa Jumaa Matar, and the Women and Disability Affairs Unit, represented by Lect. Dr. Lubna Naji Hattash, for their dedication in organizing and promoting these meaningful activities.
