The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Humanities, in Cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, Organizes a Scientific Course Entitled “The Importance of the English Language in the Job Market for Women and Girls”

Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific course entitled “The Importance of the English Language in the Job Market for Women and Girls” for the period April 21–22, 2026.

The course aimed to highlight the importance of the English language as a fundamental tool for empowering women and girls to integrate into both local and international labor markets, and to enhance their opportunities for obtaining diverse employment across various sectors. It also sought to develop participants’ language skills—particularly speaking, writing, and listening—thereby improving their professional competence and increasing their ability to communicate effectively in modern work environments.

The course included several key themes, including the role of English in career development, practical approaches to acquiring language skills, and the presentation of successful models of women who have achieved professional accomplishments through proficiency in English.
