Under the patronage of the President of the University of Tikrit, Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmood Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the college organized today, Monday (1 December 2025), an awareness seminar entitled:
“University Female Students’ Rights in Light of Islamic Values: An Educational and Shari‘a Perspective.”
The seminar, delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aqbal Abdulmajid, Asst. Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdulrahman, and Lect. Dr. Sabah Khalaf, addressed a range of educational and Shari‘a-related topics concerning the rights of female students on campus. It highlighted the Islamic foundations that emphasize the protection of rights, the promotion of human dignity, and the provision of a safe and stimulating educational environment that encourages academic excellence. The seminar also aimed to raise awareness of students’ rights and clarify their responsibilities toward the educational institution, thereby fostering a balanced academic environment based on mutual respect and authentic values.
The seminar included constructive discussions between the presenters and the students, enhancing their understanding of the Shari‘a and educational aspects of these rights, and promoting responsible dialogue that supports the educational mission within the college.
The Deanship of the College of Education for Humanities, represented by Prof. Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, extends its appreciation to the faculty members of the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education for organizing such fruitful awareness seminars, wishing them continued success and dedication in serving our college and beloved university.
