Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Imad Hamid Ahmed, the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific course entitled (Integrating Islamic Education Curricula with Sustainable Development: A Contemporary Educational Perspective) for the period (April 29–30, 2026).
The course aims to highlight the importance of achieving integration between Islamic education curricula and the concepts of sustainable development, in a manner that contributes to preparing a conscious generation equipped with religious and human values capable of addressing contemporary challenges. It also seeks to demonstrate the role of educational curricula in promoting the principles of environmental, social, and economic sustainability, and linking them with the tolerant teachings of Islam.
The course included several scientific themes focusing on mechanisms for integrating sustainable development concepts into Islamic education curricula, as well as presenting applied models and modern educational perspectives that contribute to the development of the educational process in line with contemporary requirements.
