PhD Dissertation Discussion at the College of Education for Humanities

The College of Education for Humanities, Department of Arabic Language, discussed on Thursday, 23 April 2026, the doctoral dissertation submitted by the student Abdulameer Ghazi Salem, entitled:

“Values in the Diwan of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Waeli.”

Values are considered one of the most fundamental pillars in building the individual, as they contribute to promoting discipline and mutual respect among people, thereby creating a stable and secure social environment. They are based on principles and foundations that help individuals understand how to interact with their internal and external surroundings.

Values hold great significance in both individual and societal life, as they form the basis of human behavior and social interaction. They determine what is acceptable and unacceptable within society, guiding individuals toward proper conduct and preventing deviant behavior, thus enhancing social cohesion. When people share a common set of values—such as honesty, justice, respect, and cooperation—this fosters unity and harmony, and promotes justice and equality.
